A Christian comedy? Say What!? The creators of Between the Walls are bringing you a new film on DVD May 19th! This film is lots of fun, and is well worth your time. If you like quirky comedies and goofy fun, this film is for you. It's not all humor however, this film packs a message in a very relatable place, at home. Use it for youth groups and family movie night. Do yourself a favor and add this film to your DVD Collection.
Behind the Box: This is the behind of the scenes documentary of the film. I love watching these and because I like this film so much and know many on the crew...it's a special treat. There are some great stories to be told in this video, and it really shows just how hard it can be to make a film. I loved seeing clips of the audition tapes, you can really see how perfect each actor was for the roles almost immediately. The waterpark BTS looked fun! The real thing I gather after watching this is amongst all the hardships, sickness, scheduling nightmares, weather difficulties, etc...you can still have fun and find some humor. It's a comedy, how could you not!?
Home Movies: This is great! Lots of interviews with the cast and fun behind the scenes footage outside of the documentary I talked about above. It's great to hear it from the actors what it was like working on the film, what they love about their characters, and what they hope this film accomplishes.
Outtakes: These are awesome, need I say more? :)
Trailer: A good trailer for a good film. I hate seeing terrible trailers for films, it really doesn't give all the hard work justice. Thank goodness they put together a good trailer for the film, it's the first thing potential customers see most of the time...so it better be good!
Commentary by the Staron Brothers: I'm a big fan of commentaries. You get to learn all sorts of little tid bits about the films you love, and hear it from the creators themselves which to me makes all the difference in the world. If you enjoy the film, you'll enjoy the commentary. I love both of the Starons personalities and humor and they work well together in conversation. Also tied into the commentary is some great filmmaking advice and words of caution for those interested in doing films. Listen to what these guys have to say.
